time, contributing significantly to the success of the programme.

Ms Velaphi led Ekhaya 2024’s communication,
marketing and PR, managing media and partnerships
with key stakeholders. Her efforts ensured Ekhaya’s
message reached a global audience, amplifying its
socio-economic and cultural impact.
VUSI NGOBENI
Deputy Director for Design, Department of
Sport, Arts and Culture
Mr Vusi Ngobeni was the curator for Ekhaya
2024. His main responsibility was the selecting, coordinating,
and showcasing of all visuals at the SA
Ekhaya village including craft, photography and
fashion exhibitions. He also curated vibrant cultural
performances that reflected South Africa’s current
landscape whilst celebrating 30 years of Freedom and
ensured that the South African story told aligned with
South Africa’s objectives and goals.
YAZEED SADIEN

Mr Yazeed Sadien played a vital role in managing
the communications and marketing aspects of Ekhaya
2024. His expertise ensured effective messaging and outreach, helping to promote our cultural showcase
and engaged both local and international audiences

Mr Adrian Padayachee oversaw logistics
and activations for Ekhaya 2024, ensuring smooth
event execution and engaging on-site activities.
His planning and coordination were key to the
programme’s success.

Ms Molai played a vital role in Ekhaya,
coordinating meetings and events between
stakeholders while managing invitations and ensuring
seamless engagement throughout the programme.
