WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION

The Women’s Day Celebration at Ekhaya 2024 took place on National Women’s Day, August 8th, 2024. This special event was dedicated to honoring and celebrating the achievements of women, with a particular focus on Women in Sports. The event highlighted the contributions of female athletes and leaders, while also recognizing the broader role of women in society.

Held at Ekhaya in La Villette, Paris, the celebration drew a diverse audience, including athletes, dignitaries, and supporters. The event was a powerful reminder of the strides women have made in the world of sports, and it served as an inspiration for future

The day’s programme was enriched by performances from a talented lineup of artists:

• Natalie Nova: Returning after her performance at the Opening Ceremony, Natalie Nova delivered another powerful vocal
  performance that resonated with the themes of empowerment and resilience.
• Linric Toto: Linric Toto captivated the audience with her soulful music, blending contemporary and traditional sounds
  that celebrated the strength and grace of women.
• Tribanghi Dance Group: This dynamic dance group brought energy and vibrancy to the event with their performances,
  showcasing the rich cultural heritage of South Africa while celebrating the unity and diversity of women.
