SA Night at Ekhaya 2024, held on August 3rd, was a spectacular celebration of South African culture, music, and artistry. The event was a highlight of the Ekhaya programme, offering guests an immersive experience into the vibrant and diverse cultural landscape of South Africa.
The evening featured an impressive lineup of performances from some of South Africa’s most talented artists:
- Bucie: Known as the “Queen of House Music,” Bucie is a multi-award-winning singer whose soulful voice
and powerful performances have captivated audiences both in South Africa and internationally. Her
performance at SA Night brought a perfect blend of energy and emotion, setting the tone for the evening. - Afro Sanqoba: This dynamic group is known for their ability to blend traditional African sounds with modern
influences, creating a unique and electrifying musical experience. Their performance at SA Night was a
celebration of South Africa’s rich musical heritage, bringing the audience to their feet. - DJ Siba: As the resident DJ for Ekhaya 2024, DJ Siba is known for his skill in mixing and curating music that
perfectly captures the spirit of South African nightlife. His set at SA Night kept the energy high, with beats
that resonated with both local and international guests. - Stogie T (Rapper and Poet): A prominent figure in South African hip-hop and poetry, Stogie T is known for
his insightful lyrics and commanding stage presence. His performance at SA Night added a powerful and
thought-provoking element to the evening, showcasing the depth and diversity of South African music. - Asanda Jezile: A young talent with a voice that belies her years, Asanda Jezile first gained fame on “Britain’s
Got Talent.” Her performance at SA Night was a stunning display of vocal prowess and stage presence,

The evening was expertly hosted by Ms Vusiwe Ngcobo, the charismatic SABC presenter who ensured that the event
flowed smoothly and kept the audience engaged throughout.
Catering for SA Night was once again managed by the talented Ms Fowzia Ahmed, who was back by popular
demand. She provided a culinary experience that complemented the evening’s festivities, offering guests a taste of
South Africa’s rich and diverse food culture.
SA Night was attended by over 150 guests and was a resounding success, showcasing the best of South African music,
culture, and hospitality in a setting that celebrated, once again, the country’s artistic and cultural achievements on a
global stage.
